Learn to Make Jewelry
Join us for a series of workshops on the 1st and 2nd Saturdays of the month from 9 am to 5 pm with a 1-hour break for lunch. This is a Two-day workshop! Explore the art of design & construction! The main object of this workshop is to introduce the student to basic silversmith [the same process is used in working with gold]. Students will first learn about SAFETY & TOOLS. No experience is necessary this is a HANDS-ON training program, you will learn the skill necessary in basic jewelry making. Students will learn the techniques of SOLDERING. SAWING, PIERCING, FABRICATION & POLISHING basic forming techniques will be incorporated into the finished design.
This is an informative and fun workshop. I will be there to help you step·by-step how-to-do-it method and provide basic knowledge of jewelry making. The only thing to bring to the workshop is an open mind and the willingness to handle light tools because all tools and silver are furnished. I want to take the pressure of students needing to buy tools before they discover whether they like to make jewelry. In this workshop, the student will produce up to 8 pieces of jewelry.
